‘Ted: The Animated Series’ Gets Peacock Release Date & First Look
Peacock has slotted Thursday, December 17 for the premiere of Seth MacFarlane‘s Ted: The Animated Series, which reunites MacFarlane with big screen OGs Mark Wahlberg, Amanda Seyfried and Jessica Barth. All have returned to reprise their roles.
The series will launch with eight episodes. Additional episodes will stream in 2027.
Ted: The Animated Series picks up 12 years after the conclusion of the last Ted movie, Ted 2. MacFarlane reprises the role of Ted, Wahlberg is the voice of Ted’s best friend, John; Seyfried voices John’s wife, Sam; and Barth is Ted’s wife, Tami-Lynn.
New cast members Kyle Mooney and Liz Richman portray Apollo and Ruth, respectively.
In the sequel series, John and his thunder-buddy Ted are neighbors, both with families of their own and dead-end jobs. The series follows these two lovable stoners as they enable each other’s bad ideas about marriage, parenting and the challenges of adult life.

Ted: The Animated Series is created by MacFarlane, Paul Corrigan and Brad Walsh, who executive produced the hit live-action series Ted. Corrigan and Walsh serve as co-showrunners, with series animation from Rough Draft Studios, Inc. MacFarlane, Corrigan, Walsh, Erica Huggins, Alana Kleiman, Jason Clark, Aimee Carlson and Claudia Katz also executive produce. The series is produced by UGT, a division of Universal Studio Group, Fuzzy Door, and MRC.
