APD: 55-year-old man dead following motorcycle crash

AUSTIN (KXAN) — A 55-year-old man is dead following a motorcycle crash in east Austin over the weekend, according to the Austin Police Department.
The crash happened shortly before 10 p.m., May 25, in the 7500 block of Farm-to-Market Road 969, the agency said in a news release.
When officers arrived on the scene, they found the driver of the motorcycle, Joseph E. Carrington. Police said Austin-Travis County EMS performed life-saving measures on Carrington, but he was pronounced dead on the scene at 10:14 p.m.
This is now being investigated as Austin’s 36th fatal crash of 2025, according to police.
No other details were available Wednesday.
