APD investigating body found in north Austin

AUSTIN (KXAN) — The Austin Police Department is investigating a body found in north Austin on Saturday evening.
Austin Police said the call came in around 7 p.m. near the 4600 block of Unity Circle, which is not far from Shoal Creek.
APD is expected to hold a media briefing to provide more information. This article will be updated when that information is available.
Earlier this morning, first responders conducted a water rescue after reports of people getting washed downstream near 5200 Burnet Road. Austin Police said the call came in around 12:40 a.m. Saturday.
Austin Police did not specify if these incidents were connected.
