APD SWAT callout 'brought to successful resolution' on South Congress

AUSTIN (KXAN) — After the Austin Police Department responded to a SWAT situation on South Congress, it confirmed the callout was “brought to a successful resolution,” and a person was in custody.
The Austin Police Department said on social media it responded to someone who was barricaded in the 300 block of South Congress and previously called it “an active scene.”
The community was asked to avoid the area at the time. No other details were available Thursday.
