Austin ISD eyes possible charter school model for three F-rated schools to prevent takeover




A decision on whether three Austin public schools will become in-district charter schools could come as early as January, according to district leaders. Dobie, Burnet and Webb middle schools have been on state-mandated turnaround plans since the beginning of the year, after earning four consecutive F ratings from the state.
