Lucas Herrington is expected to keep his place in central defense alongside Harry Souttar and Alessandro Circati.

Nestory Irankunda, who scored against Türkiye in Australia’s opening group match, is set to lead the attack once more. Tony Popovic is likely to stick with the same lineup that faced Paraguay, keeping faith with the compact 5-3-2 system that has worked well throughout the group stage.

Egypt’s Mohamed Salah remains a fitness concern after picking up a hamstring injury in Egypt’s draw with Iran, although the team’s medical staff are optimistic he will be available to start. Hamdy Fathy (groin), Hossam Abdelmaguid (head), Mohamed Abdelmonem (ankle), and Ahmed El Fotouh (hamstring) are also being monitored ahead of the match.

Egypt will definitely be without Mohanad Lasheen, who is suspended after receiving his second yellow card of the tournament against Iran.

If Salah is passed fit, he is expected to partner with Omar Marmoush in attack, while Mostafa Mohamed Ashour is likely to provide width.
