Brian Cashman explains why Aaron Judge’s Yankees ALDS absence ‘wasn’t a choice’


Yankees GM Brian Cashman explained for the first time why Aaron Judge wasn’t included on the division series roster. 

“He’s just not ready. In the end, he wasn’t physically able,” Cashman told a few writers. “I know what he would like to do. … That’s the warrior in him. But physically, he wasn’t a choice.” 

Judge’s inability to run the bases or play the outfield ultimately made the choice easy.
