Business Casual Is Officially a Going-Out Look Again: How To Go From the Office to the Concert

Business casual isn’t just for the office anymore. The classic styles we associate with work have recently gotten a more playful makeover. Everything from men’s ties to pleated trousers is popping up in unlikely places, like a certain NYC midtown venue.

While the Together Together residency has brought this trend into the spotlight, we’ve been seeing these stylish business casual outfits grow in popularity since the return of back-to-office work.

Plenty of people online make fun of Gen Z for “not knowing how to dress for the office” (and with the rise of the office siren trend, that might still be true), but it seems like people are simply having fun mixing and matching their casual-and-dressy wear with their office wear.

Whether you’re actually in-office or working remotely, the struggle of finding the perfect outfit formula to go from work to happy hour to concert is so real. As someone who has gone seamlessly from the office to concerts (Together Together, included) to countless events, I think I’ve cracked the business-casual-to-disco formula.
