Dear Albertans:

You want to separate from Canada? Consider this: You think there won’t be any more taxes? Think again. If you eliminate taxes, then everything the taxes pay for will disappear. This means, for instance, no more fire departments. The next time Alberta experiences a forest fire, no one will be there to douse it. Alberta’s parks bring in the tourists. But with no taxes comes no funding for the parks. The tourists will choose to go skiing and camping elsewhere. And, let’s not forget, no taxes means no AHCIP anymore. You think there will be more money? Think again. With Alberta separating, the companies will be gone. In case you didn’t know, when a company is registered as a Canadian corporation, their head office must be in Canada. So say goodbye to the big oil companies headquartered in Alberta. There are oilsands in Saskatchewan and B.C. for them to drill. If Alberta stops being a province in Canada, then the corporations will be required by law to pack up and move to another part of Canada. You think Albertans were the ones who originated this talk of separation? Think again. It originated in Russia. Russia is the home of many cybercriminals working for the Russian government. NATO’s existence has always been what stands in the way of Putin’s plans for world domination. Canada is a member of NATO. Putin wants to disband NATO. The Russians were behind Brexit. This was to destabilize NATO countries throughout Europe, not just Britain. Alberta separation isn’t really different from the Brexit talk. Russian cybercriminals have gathered a lot of dirt on Donald Trump, and helped him steal two elections through online propaganda. It should be obvious to people with a brain that Putin is blackmailing Trump. Trump constantly talks about breaking up NATO. He’s Putin’s puppet. Russian TV keeps talking about how stupid Trump is, and Putin says so when he is interviewed. You still want to separate from Canada? Read this again. And again.

(Not sure how many folks are under the impression there wouldn’t be anymore taxes)
Music to our ears
Steven Guilbeault, leaving is one of the best things to happen to Canada. But the Beatles knew it all those years ago. ‘You say goodbye and I say Guilbeault, Guilbeault, Guilbeault I’m so glad you said goodbye Guilbeault, Guilbeault.’

Globalist Carney
(Re: Jay Goldberg – ‘Tripling the streaming tax is a huge mistake,’ calgarysun.com) A truer statement has never been made. However; from control freak Carney’s previous statements about wanting to ban big U.S. social media outlets, this likely is just his first step. Let’s face it, Carney now has complete control over the Senate, all federal courts, the RCMP and funds the CBC and other large MSM outlets. Carney would like nothing better than being able to stop Canadians posting dissenting opinions on U.S. social media outlets like X. As for getting a trade deal with the U.S., that is the furthest thing on his mind. Autocrat Carney is pushing his New World Order whereby China will replace the U.S. as the world’s superpower with Europe having a much more dominant role in running world order. The fact the Trump Administration just cancelled an 86-year defence agreement with Canada shows how very annoyed it is with globalist Carney’s radical WEF agenda!

Where’s our vote?
The government says Albertans deserve a voice on separation. Did people on AISH deserve one too? Or does the government just decide which voices are more important than others?
GREG ZAWASKI

Backward momentum
So with the grounding of the Snowbirds for several years, the government of Canada says it’s thinking of replacing the Snowbird jets with the CT-157 Siskin II. So we are moving from jets backwards to propeller aircraft. After a couple years of no Snowbird jets, will the Liberal government change its mind again, going backwards further, giving us: ‘The Snowbirds Synchronized Hot Air Balloon Team!’ Or, on a late Friday afternoon, on a holiday weekend, three years from now, will the cowardly government of Canada put out a short quiet news release saying: ‘After carefully consideration and changing requirements, we have decided to cancel the Snowbirds altogether…’

Over-the-top anger
Wow, so many people running around like their hair’s on fire! The purported rage is over the top, to say the least, from separatists and nationalists alike. Premier Danielle Smith has always openly maintained her belief Alberta should remain within a united Canada. All she has also done is to enable Albertans the opportunity to express their opinion in a vote. Polls, politicians, and various forms of media can be biased in statements and reporting, so the actual voting within a referendum will provide the truest declaration of what Albertans are feeling. What’s wrong with learning the truth? Two petitions gathering signatures have already indicated the larger percentage wants to stay a part of Canada, so why the displays of rage when this question may amount to nothing more than information gathering? I was quite surprised at Warren Kinsella’s op-ed last Saturday (‘Kicking the hornet’s nest,’ calgarysun.com), tearing a strip off of our premier, like she was evil personified. It made me think he’s been having sleepovers with Naheed Nenshi. His claim of her political demise was bad theatre.

(Doesn’t seem she’s winning many friends on either side of the aisle with this latest gambit)
Time for change
Carney has promised speed. The only speed we have seen from him is in his talking. None in his actions. And leave Smith alone. She is only respecting the wishes of the voting public and the judiciary in her wording of the question. As for (B.C. Premier David) Eby, he only wants to please the B.C. voters for his own re-election. He doesn’t care about Canada. I am sick and tired of politics clouding the facts. It is time for real change and we will not get it with the current federal government.
GEORGE EWERT
(For awhile there, it felt like the last federal election was going to be about change)
This isn’t democracy
The court ruled against separatist movement in order to protect democracy? Preventing people voting on what they want? It seems to me that would be just about the definition of democracy. And trying to stop that from happening by government agency? How democratic is that? Just like a lot of things Mr.Carney and his Liberals do, or are trying to do, this is in opposite territory from democracy.
MIKE SOCH
(The court is sending Alberta back to consult with First Nations)
No deal
The pipeline deal that was signed is a long way off. The Liberals allowed another year to be added to the dreams of Albertans. This is a pattern the Liberals use continually. The government will approve of you, but will take no action to spur outcomes along. The (First Nations) will not give approval to Alberta , so the federal government can and look as if they were a willing partner. All planned ahead of time to circumvent any progress .
