Re: Political crystal ball tells all; Trudeau’s exit and other predictions for ’25, Warren Kinsella column, Dec. 29
Ah, Warren, once a Liberal, always a Liberal. I’ll agree with you on items 1, 2, 4 and 5, but I’m having a hard time getting your take on item No. 3. You talk about “offsetting Poilievre’s angry guy,” which is hilarious seeing as he’s not the one yelling at the Opposition.
Pierre Poilievre has always been someone who comes prepared to the House of Commons, so he’s not angry; he’s factual, which, of course, is what infuriates the Liberals. If that’s what you call being angry, I think you need to look up the meaning of the word. You want to call someone angry, you only have to look at the prime minister and his cabinet. They can’t handle their non-stop failures being paraded for all to see.

As for the woman who gave Justin Trudeau the F bomb, good for her. Canadians are beyond being frustrated, they’re fed up, angry and suffering thanks to Trudeau, his government and their policies. I’m not sure I could have been as restrained. You don’t need to apologize, Emily Duggan; you spoke for the majority of Canadians.
SANDY JOHNSTON
(Hopefully Trudeau will return from vacation and start packing his things.)
SOUTH KOREA VS. CANADA
While the president of South Korea has been impeached and is now looking at possible treason charges for implementing martial law, our supreme commander walks around with impunity.
I have to admit I was not fully onside with the truckers and at no time did I think blocking the borders should be allowed for even one minute, but I always felt they certainly had some legitimate concerns.

The heavy handedness of Justin Trudeau, with the suspension of civil rights and freezing of bank accounts, was inexcusable, but it had more to do with trying to portray himself as a strong, confident leader, although using a sledgehammer to swat a fly on a glass table was never a good idea. Convoy protesters Tamara Lich and Chris Barber were prosecuted to the full extent of the law just to make a point.
WAYNE BOYCE
(The point being don’t break the law?)
Swirling around
Justin Trudeau – deep down he’s real shallow! Now that we have been trying to get rid of him for a few years, he seems to be like that scenario we’ve all seen at one time. You flush with the handle and that little piece of offensive matter just won’t go down but swirls around and round in its effort to continue to stink up the place – in this case our poor country. Jagmeet Singh has not pulled the handle the many times he could have and they both belong in the septic tank!
Bruce Allen Lloyd
(Quite the picture you paint there.)
