Since Alberta Oil will be paying the entire cost of the ALTO High Speed Rail Line between Montreal, Ottawa and Toronto, can we at least, please, get some return for our investment, with an advertising message along the side of the train? I’m thinking of the following message in large capital letters on the side, to be read as the train passes by: “THE $90 BILLION THAT PAID FOR THIS TRAIN CAME FROM EXPLOITED ALBERTA TAXPAYERS AND THIS IS THE REASON WE ARE SEPARATING FROM CANADA IN THE NEAR FUTURE!”

Fair’s fare for tariffs
On May 11, you replied to a writer that if Trump dropped tariffs all would be better for Canada. Well, how about you tell Canadians how long we were breaking the agreement with U.S. by charging tariffs on dairy? I believe it was 220% and Trudeau did not want U.S. dairy in Canada at all! Not fair. Also, the lumber tariffs he was charging, outside of the North American trade agreement. Funny how we forgot that side of their argument. An agreement is a two way street, we just stuck our heads in the sand until Trump called us out! Orange man bad, or just a good representative for his country?

Expanding his vocabulary
As middle schoolers in the 1950s we were encouraged to adopt a simple technique to help us expand our vocabulary. We were to find a word from our Oxford dictionary, then use it 10 times in a sentence during the day to “make the word your own!” Sometimes, when I hear Donald Trump use the word ‘obliterate’ over and over again I find myself wondering if the U.S. president is not simply engaging in an exercise to make the word – new for him – his very own.

Liberal thoughts
There is enough oil in Alberta to never have to rely on the Middle East, yet the editor wants to keep relying on foreign oil, and never be energy independent. Come on, finally reveal you are a Liberal mole and show your red pom poms.
