Chargers endure more embarrassment as Broncos fans pack SoFi Stadium

The Chargers are staring at an a 0-5 record to start the season.

It appears the fanbase knows it as Sunday’s home game against the Broncos was filled with a crowd of Denver fans. Powder blue wasn’t as visible at SoFi Stadium, perhaps a reflection of the Chargers’ abominable start to the year.

Through four weeks of the season, the Chargers haven’t won a game in 2026. Week 5 presents another opportunity for the struggling squad, but the divisional showdown will be anything but easy.

The Chargers haven’t found their stride, but they’ll have to try to find some rhythm Sunday against Denver without several key players. Rashawn Slater underwent ankle surgery last week and has been placed on injured reserve.

The Pro Bowl offensive tackle is set to miss at the next four games. Offensive tackle Joe Alt is dealing with a neck injury, leaving quarterback Justin Herbert with several inexperience lineman against the Chargers’ AFC West rivals.

Chargers wide receiver Quentin Johnston was also sidelined with a chest injury, so the offense is especially short-handed as Herbert and Mike McDaniel attempt to orchestrate a cohesive performance Sunday.

Chargers fans appear to be fed up as the 1:05 p.m. PT home game was filled with a crowd of orange.
