College football fans upset with ESPN’s coverage of Oregon-Oklahoma State
The much-anticipated contest between No. 6 Oregon and Oklahoma State started about 90 minutes late thanks to a lightning delay on Saturday. Kickoff was initially set for noon ET.
The delay caused some scheduling conflicts for ESPN, which scheduled coverage of the US Open Tennis Championships on its ESPN channel for 4 p.m. ET. The network kept its schedule with the US Open Tennis Championships, moving Oregon to ESPN2 and ESPN News.
However, in the fourth quarter of a close ball game between the Ducks and Cowboys, ESPN2 switched to the scheduled coverage of Pitt vs. UCF, set for a 3:30 p.m. ET kickoff.

Fans of Oregon and Oklahoma State voiced their displeasure with having to search for the game and flip channels in the middle of one of the better games of the weekend.
“DisneyPlus ending the stream barely into the second half for TENNIS…. legit demonstration the service is a joke. Disney operates the way my ducks played the first half,” wrote a fan.
“Since ESPN has made it impossible to find the Oregon vs Oklahoma state game on YouTube TV. It’s on espn news search ‘disc golf pro tour’ and click to watch. That’s actually ESPN News,” wrote another.
“You’re the goat !! Took been looking for the right channel for 20 mins. YouTube TV is a mess,” commented another.
“ESPN just pulled a Heidi,” wrote a fan. “NBC network interrupted a great football game to air the movie Heidi ESPN just left the very competitive #6 Oregon at Oklahoma State game with the score Oregon 31 Oklahoma State 30 with Oklahoma State driving in red zone. What a boneheaded move by ESPN.”
“Am I crazy or did espn stop showing Oregon / osu game on YouTube tv? It is tennis now or no commentary feed. I can go to Disney but can’t watch other games. ESPN what are you doing?” asked a fan.
“ESPN bumping this #6 Oregon vs Oklahoma St game twice is wild. Bumping it for the Women’s Tennis final, l can accept. But then bumping it to ESPNNews for Pitt vs UCF is mind boggling,” wrote another.
