College Football Playoff Bracket Sets Teams, TV Schedule


The bracket has set its 12 teams and TV schedule, with undefeated Big Ten champion Indiana Hoosiers earning the No. 1 seed.

The Hoosiers, who won their first Big Ten title since 1945 with a 13-10 victory over Ohio State last night, received a first-round bye. The No. 2, 3 and 4 seeds were the Ohio State Buckeyes, Georgia Bulldogs and Texas Tech Red Raiders.

The first-round games will be played at the campus sites of the higher seeded teams.

The playoff kicks off with four first-round games Friday, Dec. 19, and Saturday, Dec. 20, before advancing to the quarterfinals New Year’s Eve and New Year’s Day. Quarterfinal winners will move on to the semifinals Jan. 8 and 9, leading up to the CFP National Championship Monday, Jan. 20 at Hard Rock Stadium in Miami Gardens, Fla.
