DAY6’s Dowoon Faces Dating Rumours After Viral Post Links Him to Influencer Yoo Ji Yoo
DAY6 star Dowoon has become the centre of online dating rumours after a netizen shared a viral post alleging that the idol is in a relationship with influencer Yoo Ji Yoo.
The online thread, which quickly spread across Korean social media platforms and forums, compiled several pieces of alleged “evidence” that fans believe connect the two.
One of the earliest claims involved Yoo Ji Yoo’s dog, which netizens alleged appeared in both Dowoon’s car and his personal studio. The post further pointed to shared items spotted in separate content uploaded by the singer and influencer.
According to the viral thread, Dowoon once showed a keyring during a vlog and mentioned that he had “received as a gift from an acquaintance.” The same keyring was later allegedly spotted in photos and YouTube videos uploaded by Yoo Ji Yoo, where she showcased parts of her personal collection.
Netizens also highlighted that Yoo Ji Yoo was seen wearing Umbro trousers in one of her photos. The brand connection drew attention because DAY6 and Dowoon currently serve as ambassadors for Umbro.
Additional similarities mentioned in the post included matching decorative items, such as plants and “fishing cat” ornaments, which some online users claimed appeared in content shared by both individuals.
The thread also included unverified claims that Yoo Ji Yoo follows non-celebrity friends of fellow DAY6 member Young K on social media and that Dowoon had allegedly visited her father while he was in hospital. However, no photographic or concrete evidence supporting either allegation has surfaced online.
Neither Dowoon, Yoo Ji Yoo nor JYP Entertainment has publicly commented on the rumours so far.
Despite the lack of official confirmation, the speculation has sparked heated discussions among Korean netizens, with reactions ranging from curiosity and support to criticism and scepticism over the claims presented in the viral thread.
