Days of Our Lives Actor Robert Kelker-Kelly Dead at 62

The soap opera world is mourning a pivotal member.

Robert Kelker-Kelly, best known for his role as Bo Brady on Days of Our Lives, died on Oct. 3, a medical examiner in Missouri confirmed to TMZ. The actor was 62.

No additional details about his cause of death have been shared at this time. E! News has attempted to reach out to the medical examiner for comment.

Born and raised in Kansas, Kelker-Kelly’s entrée into the world of acting began at the Wichita Collegiate School where he fell in love with the stage. After briefly enrolling at the University of Kansas, Kelker-Kelly left school to pursue acting full time.

But the journey wasn’t easy, and the soap opera actor had been candid about how his first job on Another World as Sam Fowler in 1987 changed his career trajectory.

“At the time I got cast on Another World I was homeless, sleeping in my Jeep, or on anyone’s floor that I could, and working as a secretary for a headhunter’s office in L.A.,” he recounted to We Love Soaps in 2013. “God, I had forgotten that.”
