Disney Channel Star Carla Jeffery’s Family Responds to Claim Drugs Were Involved in Her Death


Carla Jeffery’s family is clearing up misinformation. 

Shortly after the Disney star’s management shared she died Sept. 1 at the age of 33, Jeffery’s family refuted rumors that drugs were involved. 

A family spokesperson told TMZ that Jeffery died in her California home, adding, “She did not do drugs.”

Her family also told the outlet there was no foul play involved in the actress’ death and noted that police are not involved. They said they are currently awaiting autopsy results before sharing additional information regarding Jeffery’s death to ensure the information is accurate. 

The coroner also told TMZ that Jeffery’s case is still pending and there is currently no cause or manner of death. 

Jeffery began her acting career at the age of 12, costarring in 2006’s Phat Girlz. She continued her career on Southland, Crazy Ex-Girlfriend and Curb Your Enthusiasm

However, she was best known for her roles on the Disney Channel series Good Luck Charlie and Shake It Up, as well as playing the character of Bree in the Disney Zombies franchise.
