Drew Mestemaker to transfer from North Texas after historic season

Mestemaker was a backup quarterback for Vandegrift who didn’t start a game at the position since he was on the freshman team. He was primarily a safety and punter for the Vipers, but when Eric Morris and the Mean Green coaching staff got to him, he developed into one of the most sought-after transfer targets after his tremendous season.
