FBI Raid Uncovers Horror
Federal agents executed a search warrant Tuesday at a home on the 7100 block of Whitaker Avenue in Northeast Philadelphia as part of an investigation into alleged threats made against the White House.
During the search, investigators discovered two children living inside the property alongside multiple dead cats and at least one dead dog. Authorities described the conditions inside the home as unsanitary, prompting officials to request a hazmat team after detecting a strong odor.
The FBI has not publicly commented on the ongoing investigation.
Children Rushed to Hospital
The two children were removed from the home and transported to a nearby hospital for medical evaluation.
Authorities said they were not believed to have suffered physical injuries. Following the evaluation, the children were placed in the custody of the Philadelphia Department of Human Services while the investigation continues.
Parents Taken Into Custody
According to authorities, the children’s mother and father were taken into custody following the search.
The parents are expected to face child endangerment charges in connection with the conditions inside the home. Officials have not released additional information about the investigation or the alleged threats that prompted the federal search warrant.
Home Boarded Up
Multiple city agencies responded to the property after the children were removed.
Officials from Philadelphia’s Department of Licenses and Inspections inspected the home, while Philadelphia Gas Works shut off utility service to the property. The house was later boarded up as investigators continued processing the scene.
Authorities have not released further details, and the investigation remains ongoing.
