Giants’ ‘athletic’ quarterbacks could give them a physical leg up — but it comes with a risk

When it came time to rate all the quarterbacks in the 2025 draft, it became increasingly clear to the Giants that Cam Ward was the best of the bunch.

After that, it became apparent that Jaxson Dart checked off enough boxes to move into the No. 2 spot, pushing past Shedeur Sanders.

There were plenty of off-the-field and personality variances that led the Giants to this conclusion, but there was also a readily apparent physical difference that led to the stacking of the players the way they did.

Dart is, simply put, a better athlete as a quarterback than Sanders, and that is a prerequisite for Brian Daboll when he puts a wish list together for what he wants at the position.
