GTA 6 DualSense Controller: Price, Release Date, Features and Where to Buy
Sony has announced two limited-edition Grand Theft Auto VI (GTA 6) DualSense Wireless Controllers for PlayStation 5. The special-edition controllers were revealed during the Sept. 3, 2026, PlayStation State of Play showcase, ahead of the game’s planned November release.
The Black Limited Edition and White Limited Edition GTA 6 DualSense controllers feature designs inspired by Vice City. Both will be sold in limited quantities.
GTA 6 DualSense Controller Price
Sony has set the recommended retail price for both GTA 6 DualSense Wireless Controllers at $84.99 in the U.S. The controller will cost €84.99 in Europe, £74.99 in the UK and ¥12,480 in Japan.
For Southeast Asian markets, Sony has listed the following prices:

- Malaysia: MYR 419
- Indonesia: IDR 1,549,000
- Thailand: THB 2,890
- Philippines: PHP 5,411
- Vietnam: VND 2,399,000
Sony has not announced an official Indian price for either GTA 6 DualSense controller.
GTA 6 DualSense Release Date
The White Limited Edition and Black Limited Edition GTA 6 DualSense Wireless Controllers are scheduled to go on sale on Nov. 19, 2026.
That is also the scheduled release date for Grand Theft Auto VI on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. Sony has noted that availability and release dates can vary by market.
Pre-orders will open on Sept. 10, 2026, at 10 a.m. local time in supported markets. In the US, pre-orders will begin at 7 a.m. PT/10 a.m. ET.
GTA 6 DualSense Features And Design
The main difference between the two GTA 6 DualSense controllers is their appearance.
According to Sony, the White Limited Edition draws inspiration from Vice City’s daytime look, including its beaches and pastel-coloured skies.
The Black Limited Edition takes inspiration from Vice City’s nighttime atmosphere and its neon-lit streets.
Both controllers have a shimmering, colour-shifting finish designed around the look of Vice City’s sunsets and neon lights. They also feature a molded palm-tree detail and GTA VI branding.
Apart from the design, the controllers use the same core technology found in the standard PS5 DualSense Wireless Controller.
Sony has also confirmed that GTA 6 will support the DualSense’s haptic feedback and adaptive triggers. According to PlayStation, these features are intended to add to the experience as players follow the story of Jason and Lucia.
The DualSense’s built-in speaker will also be supported in GTA 6. PlayStation’s official GTA VI page lists haptic feedback, adaptive triggers and the integrated speaker among the game’s PS5 features.
Where To Buy The GTA 6 DualSense Controller
The White Limited Edition GTA 6 DualSense controller will be available in limited quantities through PlayStation Direct and select retailers in supported markets.
The Black Limited Edition will also be sold through PlayStation Direct in markets where the service operates, along with select retailers in other markets.
PlayStation Direct currently operates in several markets, including the US, UK, France, Germany, Belgium, Netherlands, Luxembourg, Spain, Italy and Austria.
India is not included in the PlayStation Direct markets listed by Sony. Indian buyers should therefore wait for an official announcement from PlayStation India or authorised retailers before relying on third-party listings.
GTA 6 Controller: Is It Worth Buying?
The GTA 6 DualSense Wireless Controllers do not introduce new DualSense hardware. Instead, Sony has used its existing PS5 controller technology and given it a GTA 6-themed design based on Vice City.
For people who already own a standard DualSense controller, the main reason to buy one of the limited-edition versions is the GTA 6 design and limited availability. GTA 6 players will still get the same DualSense features supported by the game, including haptic feedback and adaptive triggers.
