Hearts melt as golden retriever puppy gets his own puppy

In a viral video shared to an account dedicated to six dogs, @hopperlovesadventures, a golden retriever can be seen excitedly trying to play with a puppy.

The caption says: “When mom and dad get the puppy a new puppy,” earning over 787,000 views and 101,000 likes at the time of writing.

The golden seems to be full of life as she eagerly attempts to play, but the pup, a red golden retriever, is sat upright and still — “like a solider during inspection,” compared one commenter.

At the end, when the golden gets the message, she walks off, prompting the pup to pounce, leaving the internet in hysterics.

“Why’s the little one so serious[?],” asked one user, and another said: “That puppy isn’t having it.”

“At first, I thought it was a teddy when it didn’t move,” said a third commenter.
