Hillside collapse triggers evacuations in Hollywood Hills as emergency crews rush to scene



A hillside partially collapsed in the Hollywood Hills, damaging a home below and prompting firefighters to evacuate an apartment building perched above the slide.

The collapse occurred in the 1900 block of North Wilcox Avenue, according to the Los Angeles Fire Department. Crews were working to stabilize the hillside and safely clear the apartment building on Grace Avenue.

No injuries were reported. The cause of the collapse was not immediately known.
