How Did Olivia Oras Die? Finnish Influencer, 27, Lost Consciousness Before Liposuction as Police Probe Death
Finnish influencer Olivia Oras died at the age of 27 after losing consciousness while receiving anesthesia ahead of a planned cosmetic procedure in Helsinki, Finland.
Oras was taken to Helsinki University Hospital after the medical emergency at a private clinic and died several days later on Sept. 3, 2026. Her death is now being investigated by Helsinki police as suspected aggravated manslaughter.
Her family has alleged that the 27-year-old died after an aesthetic procedure went wrong. However, authorities have not publicly confirmed the precise medical cause of death.
Helsinki police launched an investigation after receiving a request to investigate Oras’ death from her family.
Police said the investigation is in its early stages and are examining the death as suspected aggravated manslaughter. Investigators also searched a clinic in Helsinki as part of the probe.
Reports have linked Oras to the Plastic Surgery Center in Helsinki, although authorities have not publicly confirmed all details of her treatment there. The clinic subsequently came under regulatory scrutiny.
On Sept. 9, Finland’s Licensing and Supervision Authority ordered the immediate suspension of healthcare services at two Plastic Surgery Center locations after an inspection found that patient safety was seriously endangered. The suspension occurred six days after Oras’ death.
Authorities have not publicly established that the clinic’s alleged safety problems caused Oras’ death, and the investigation remains ongoing.
