Hugh Hewitt Joins Fox News As A Contributor

Hugh Hewitt will make his debut tonight on Fox NewsSpecial Report with Bret Baier after signing on with the network as a contributor.

He will appear across Fox News Media platforms, the network said.

Hewitt hosts The Hugh Hewitt Show for Salem Radio network and is a columnist for the Washington Examiner. He was a columnist for The Washington Post, but resigned last year after abruptly walking out of a live webcast, after a dispute with fellow opinion columnists Jonathan Capehart and Ruth Marcus.

Hewitt served in Ronald Reagan’s administration, including as deputy director and general counsel of the Office of Personnel Management, general counsel for the National Endowment for the Humanities, assistant counsel in the White House, and special assistant to two attorneys general of the United States. Hewitt started as an editorial assistant for former President Richard Nixon in San Clemente, CA, and New York. He oversaw the building and opening of the Richard Nixon Presidential Library and Museum in Yorba Linda, CA.
