The Illinois surgeon accused of fatally shooting his ex-wife and her dentist husband was hauled back to Ohio and booked into custody Tuesday.

Michael McKee, 39, was extradited to the Buckeye State, where he’s facing murder charges for allegedly killing Monique Tepe and her husband Spencer Tepe inside their home on Dec. 30, according to the Columbus Dispatch.

McKee was on the run for nearly two weeks before he was captured by federal authorities at a Chick-fil-A near his Rockford medical practice on Jan. 10.

He was in custody in Illinois until he was transferred over to Ohio and booked in Franklin County Jail Tuesday, the Columbus Dispatch reported.

The doctor previously waived extradition at a hearing earlier this month.

The killings, which left their two young children without parents, were targeted, authorities have said.

McKee and Monique Tepe were married for about two years before divorcing in 2017.

Monique married Spencer in 2020.
