Investors in SGX-listed companies can access more research reports after expansion of coverage scheme


Since July 2025, 16 firms have joined Gems, bringing the total number of participating research firms to 29

[SINGAPORE] The monthly average of research reports on Singapore-listed companies produced under a grant scheme has more than tripled in the nine months to May 31, according to the Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS).  

Introduced in 2019 by MAS, the Gems (Grant for Equity Market Singapore) scheme provides incentives to enhance research coverage of companies listed on the Singapore Exchange (SGX).

In July 2025, the scheme was enhanced with increased funding, to boost under-researched segments, as part of the MAS Equities Market Review Group’s broader efforts.
