Keara Brady: Texas Substitute Teacher Indicted Over Charges of Having Sex with 4 of Her Students
A former substitute teacher has been indicted on multiple charges of sexual assault and improper relationship with a student.
Keara Brady, 31, a former substitute teacher at Temple ISD, was indicted on four counts of improper relationship between educator and student and two counts of sexual assault by a Bell County Grand Jury, according to court records obtained by NBC affiliate KCEN-TV.
According to the arrest affidavit, Brady stands accused of sexually assaulting at least four students. She was arrested in San Antonio on a warrant issued by a Bell County judge.
Brady came under investigation after Bell County Crime Stoppers received a tip on April 20, 2026 alleging Brady was engaged in an improper relationship with a teenage student. The tip was accompanied with screenshots of social media exchanges that were “sexual in nature.”
Temple Police Department officers then contacted Brady, who denied the allegations. Investigators then obtained records from social media companies of Brady’s and the account of the person she was exchanging messages with, according to the affidavit.
Per the affidavit, investigators determined that Brady had been exchanging messages with an account registered under a phone number belonging to the mother of a 16-year-old Temple High School student.
When investigators interviewed the student, he admitted to having a sexual relationship with Brady. He said Brady had substituted for one of his classes and then shared her Snapchat and Instagram accounts with students, according to the affidavit.
The document also noted the 16-year-old provided names of other male students who allegedly had sexual encounters with Brady. According to the affidavit, Brady and the student met at Brady’s apartment on 31st Street in Temple on April 14, where she sexually assaulted the student.
Investigators also interviewed another 17-year-old student who told police he had a sexual encounter with Brady, according to the affidavit. Both students told investigators Brady instructed them and other students to deny knowing her if police questioned them, according to the affidavit.
The affidavit also describes interviews with two additional students investigators identified as victims. Brady is currently in the Bell County Jail being held on a $350,000 bond.
