KJ Apa, Isabel May, Archie Renaux & Emma Laird Romantic Dramedy ‘Falling’ Heads To AFM
EXCLUSIVE: Sales partners The Exchange and Voltage Pictures have added romantic-dramedy Falling to their American Film Market slate.
Brian O’Shea will rep international with Voltage. UTA Independent Film Group is handling domestic.
KJ Apa (Riverdale), Isabel May (Scream 7), Archie Renaux (Alien: Romulus) and Emma Laird (Mayor of Kingstown) star in the feature, which shot last year in the UK and Malta.
The synopsis reads: “In the film, Johnny, a hopeless romantic and loyal friend, faces an agonizing dilemma when he falls for Jillian, the enchanting girlfriend of his cynical best friend Jack. Entangled in a whirlwind of emotions as they attempt to navigate the complexities of betrayal and the pursuit of dreams, they must confront the core question: what’s more important, friendship or love?”
The project was funded by Gulfstream Pictures, which recently teamed with Renaux on Amazon rom-com Upgraded.
James and Colin Krisel scripted and directed. Producers are Mike Karz, Bill Bindley, Piers Tempest, Matt Luber and Lena Roklin. Executive producers are Dakota Rosen and Tom Salentine.
