Lola Tung Joins ‘Please’ A24 Film From Halina Reijn (EXCLUSIVE)
EXCLUSIVE: Lola Tung (The Summer I Turned Pretty) has inked a deal to join Please, A24‘s new film from Babygirl and Bodies Bodies Bodies helmer Halina Reijn.
Tung’s role is being kept under wraps, as all have been. No word yet on the story being told here. Tung joins the previously announced Gracie Abrams, Tom Burke, Connor Storrie, and David Jonsson.
Reijn will direct from her own script, producing through her Man Up Film banner, alongside frequent collaborator David Hinojosa. A24 will also produce and finance the project, with Zach Nutman exec producing.
Best known for her breakout performance as Belly in Amazon’s hit YA series The Summer I Turned Pretty, Tung is currently filming the feature film continuation, which will bring the story to its conclusion.
Most recently, Tung starred opposite Lili Reinhart in Forbidden Fruits, which premiered earlier this year, also appearing in Josephine Decker’s Sundance flick Chasing Summer. Also upcoming for her is Neon’s The Young People, directed by Osgood Perkins and co-starring Nicole Kidman and Nico Parker. She is represented by CAA, GSA Entertainment, and Jackoway Austen Tyerman.
