Man dies days later after Oct. 14 crash in north Austin



AUSTIN (KXAN) — The Austin Police Department identified a pedestrian who died a few days after a crash that happened in north Austin on Oct. 14, said a news release from the department. 

Around 8:22 p.m. officers responded to the crash involving a pedestrian and a vehicle in the 1100 Block of West Parmer Lane. 

Austin Police identified the pedestrian as Emilio Gonzalez, 23. The release said Gonzalez was taken to the hospital with life-threatening injuries and died at the hospital on Oct. 16. 

The driver remained on scene, was not impaired and cooperated with authorities, said the release.

This incident marks Austin’s 76th fatal crash of 2025, resulting in 80 fatalities.
