Matthew Stafford’s wife Kelly admits emotional toll of Rams season
The physical, mental and emotional toll that NFL players face during the season is obvious.
Less obvious is what their wives and girlfriends go through.
Few NFL WAGs understand this better than Rams quarterback Matthew Stafford’s wife, Kelly, as she has 18 professional seasons under her belt.
“How are YOU doing this year with football season?!” one fan wrote.
“Wow, I’m not sure anyone has ever asked me this.. but it’s a lot. I’m stressed quite often and always thinking about what needs to be done for the next game.. whether that be hosting or getting my girls ready to get to another stadium… and the rest of the week is filled with kids sports, homework, tests.. I’m sure the same stresses all moms feel.. I just also have a husband running for his life on Sundays 🤣,” Stafford wrote.
There’s no doubt that Kelly Stafford has a lot on her plate. Taking care of four daughters is enough work for two adults, but Matthew is gone so often with work during the season that it surely feels like Kelly is shouldering much of the burden.
Kelly deserves a ton of credit for her willingness to take this burden on, which frees up Matthew to perform for the Rams.
