Matthew Stafford’s wife Kelly breaks out boozy Jell-O shots for daughter’s 8th birthday: ‘It’s for the kids’

Rams star quarterback Matthew Stafford’s wife, Kelly, knows how to make headlines and not always for the most family-friendly reasons.

This was the case once again on Sunday, when Kelly Stafford was celebrating her and Matthew’s daughter, Hunter, who turns 8 years old.

Kelly seems to be celebrating this by drinking Jello-O shots with some of her friends, which was shown with an Instagram Story she posted on Sunday morning.

Kelly reposted the story, which was initially from her friend and was captioned, “It’s for the kids / HBD Huntie!!!”

Stafford added her own caption on top of that, writing, “Jell-O shots for Huntie’s 8th 🎉”. Given the amount of other shot glasses and limes around, it’s clear that these shots also have alcohol in them.

It’s also worth noting that there’s no way these alcoholic drinks are literally “for the kids,” as the caption might suggest. Instead, the assumption is that the “It’s for the kids” caption is a tongue-in-cheek way of saying the adults are using the birthday celebration as an excuse to indulge themselves with some drinks.

It would be interesting to know where Matthew might be during this. The Rams most likely have the day off after their 34-0 preseason rout of the Saints on Saturday, which means that Matthew might be the one actually watching the kids while Kelly and her friends are having their drinks.

Perhaps there will be more social media posts to come if the drinks keep flowing. Maybe even Matthew will get in on the action.
