Memo: Austin proposes new plan that could demolish unsafe structures within 96 hours

In an Oct. 30 memorandum, the Austin Development Services (DSD) proposed a new process for emergency demolitions, citing the new plan could provide a “proactive mechanism” to address unsafe structures that pose imminent danger to the community.
