Miley Cyrus Tearfully Details “Eternal” Bond With Godmother Dolly Parton During Hollywood Bowl Show

Miley Cyrus and Dolly Parton will always love each other.

In fact, Miley proved that her bond with her godmother exists beyond the bounds of space and time, sharing that the “Jolene” singer hasn’t strayed far since her death in late August.

“She’s right here beside me every day,” Cyrus said on stage, per videos shared on social media, during the Oct. 18 show of her Hollywood Bowl residency in Los Angeles. “All the time—more than she could be when she was here. I feel her more now than ever.”

Indeed, the “Flowers” singer assured fans that she and the country icon share an “eternal” bond.

“Nothing in this life could ever tear us apart,” Cyrus said through tears. “I’m going to see her again and I can’t f–king wait because I miss her. Some of the greatest music that we have today was written, produced, performed by my aunt Dolly.”

As the opening cords of “Jolene” began to play through the stadium, Cyrus—who has famously covered the song over the years—mused, “This is one of those songs.”

And as she continued her performance, the 33-year-old noted she could feel Parton’s presence on stage.
