New bodycam footage shows moment deputies discover Gene Hackman and wife dead in New Mexico home

Authorities have released chilling bodycam and CCTV footage related to the deaths of actor Gene Hackman, 95, and his wife, Betsy Arakawa, 65. Deputies found the couple during a welfare check on Feb. 26 at their Santa Fe-area home. Investigators believe Arakawa died on Feb. 12; Hackman later succumbed to severe heart disease. Arakawa’s cause of death was confirmed as hantavirus pulmonary syndrome.
