NewJeans’ ‘Right Now’ Joins K-Pop Group’s 100M Club as Entire Discography Hits New Spotify Milestone
NewJeans has added another milestone to its growing list of achievements, with the group’s song “Right Now” surpassing 100 million streams on Spotify.
According to Spotify, the track crossed the milestone on July 10, becoming NewJeans’ 16th song to reach the 100 million-stream mark.
The achievement is particularly significant because it means every song released across the group’s five projects, including two EPs, one single album, and two double singles, has now accumulated at least 100 million streams on the platform.
Rather than relying solely on title tracks, the milestone reflects strong and consistent listener support across NewJeans’ entire catalog.
‘Right Now’ Continues Its Global Success
Released in June 2024 as part of the group’s Japanese debut single “Supernatural,” “Right Now” blends a drum-and-bass-inspired sound with the members’ signature vocals.
The song performed well on major South Korean music charts following its release alongside the title track “Supernatural.” It also expanded its international reach by entering Billboard’s Global 200 and Global Excl. US charts.
Its music video further contributed to the song’s popularity, featuring member-specific animated characters inspired by Japanese contemporary artist Takashi Murakami and the iconic American animated series The Powerpuff Girls, giving the visual a distinctive pop-art style.
Spotify Streams Near 8 Billion
With “Right Now” joining the 100 million-stream club, NewJeans’ cumulative Spotify streams have now exceeded 7.8 billion.
The group’s biggest streaming hits remain “Ditto” and “OMG,” both of which have surpassed 900 million streams.
They are followed by “Super Shy,” which has crossed 800 million streams, and “Hype Boy,” which has exceeded 700 million.
Entire Catalog Continues to Draw Listeners
Several other NewJeans songs have also posted impressive streaming numbers on Spotify.
“New Jeans” and “Attention” have each surpassed 500 million streams, while “ETA” and “Cookie” have crossed 400 million and 300 million streams, respectively.
Meanwhile, “Hurt,” “Cool With You,” “How Sweet,” and “Supernatural” have each exceeded 200 million streams. Other releases, including “ASAP,” “Get Up,” and “Bubble Gum,” have also crossed the 100 million milestone.
The latest achievement further underscores NewJeans’ sustained popularity on the global streaming platform, with every track in the group’s discography now reaching at least 100 million Spotify streams.
