NFL insider gives update on Micah Parson’s return timeline

Green Bay Packers superstar pass rusher Micah Parsons suffered a season-ending ACL tear during Week 15 of the 2025 season. He’s currently on the road to recovery, and will miss the start of his team’s 2026 regular-season campaign.

The Packers placed Parsons on the reserve/physically unable to perform list, automatically ruling him out for the first four games of the year. However, there’s “optimism” that he could return for a primetime Week 6 matchup against his former Dallas Cowboys team.

According to a new report from NFL insider Tom Pelissero, Parsons could return as early as the Packers’ Week 5 matchup against the division-rival Chicago Bears.

“Green Bay is known as one of the most conservative teams medically in the NFL. But there is optimism that he’ll be back Week 6 against his old team, the Cowboys, and potentially even Week 5 against the Bears,” Pelissero reported.
