Pregnant Anne Hathaway Reacts to Question About Her Baby’s Sex—and Her Response Takes the Crown

Anne Hathaway is never late, everybody else is simply early.

That’s why the pregnant Princess Diaries star had the perfect response when a fan asked her about the sex of her baby on the way as she accepted her Disney Legend honor at the D23 event on Aug. 16.

“Boy or girl,” the spectator shouted from the crowd as Hathaway stepped on stage, prompting her to quip, “Oh, just be patient.”

Cradling her big baby bump, the 43-year-old added with a laugh in reference to her impending due date, “You’re gonna find out in five minutes.”

Indeed, Hathaway—who’s already mom to sons Jonathan, 10, and Jack, 6, with husband Adam Shulman—has opted not to publicly share the sex of baby No. 3. As she recently explained on Jimmy Kimmel Live, “We know, we’re not saying.”

“Thank you for the support,” she continued after her response was met applause. “I always feel so rude saying that. I feel so bad.”
