Presley Gerber Found Dead of Suspected Overdose, Police Confirm
More information has been shared about Presley Gerber’s heartbreaking death.
After the Los Angeles medical examiner confirmed Cindy Crawford and Rande Gerber’s son died inside a rehab facility Sept. 20, police shared that the 27-year-old was found dead of a suspected overdose.
“On September 20, 2026, at approximately 9:35 a.m., Santa Monica Police Department officers responded to a report of a possible overdose,” the department told E! News in a statement Sept. 21. “Upon arrival, officers located an adult male who was deceased. The Los Angeles County Department of Medical Examiner has identified the individual as Presley Gerber, 27.”
Now “detectives are investigating the death as a suspected overdose,” the message continued. “At this time, there is no indication of foul play. The official cause and manner of death will be determined by the Los Angeles County Department of Medical Examiner.”
Prior to his death, Presley—older brother to Kaia Gerber—had been candid about his struggles with substance abuse and his mental health.
Back in 2023, Presley initiated “Mental Health Mondays,” a social media series where he talked about healthy habits and tools he learned over the years to help manage his mental health and wellbeing.
