Prince Louis Celebrates 7th Birthday in Royally Sweet Portrait
Prince William and Kate Middleton’s Son Prince Louis Debuts Photographer Skills in the Sweetest Way
Prince Louis is getting the royal treatment.
In honor of the young royal’s seventh birthday, Prince William and Kate Middleton released a new portrait of their youngest.
In the sweet snap, Louis offers the camera a fairly toothless smile, while sitting on a stone wall in front of a purple-flowered garden. For the occasion, the prince sported dark jeans, a plaid button down and a dark green sweater.
The caption accompanying the portrait, shared to William and Kate’s Instagram account April 23, read, “Wishing Prince Louis a very Happy 7th Birthday!”
It is traditional for the Prince and Princess of Wales to commemorate the birthdays of their children—including Prince George, 11, and Princess Charlotte, 9, in addition to Louis—with a new birthday photo. And while this year’s image was taken by photographer Josh Sinner, Kate herself has often taken her children’s annual portraits.
In fact, last year the 43-year-old snapped the photos shared for each of her children’s birthdays, the photo credit on the post reading, The Princess of Wales.
