Shane Gillis Apologizes After Dropping F-Bomb During Saturday Night Live Appearance

Horton certainly heard something during Shane Gillis’ latest SNL appearance.

After the comedian raised eyebrows for dropping an F-bomb during a Dr. Seuss-themed sketch while hosting Saturday Night Live Oct. 10, he addressed his on-air mishap.

As he said during the show’s goodnights, “My thanks to Rosalía, and sorry about earlier.”

ICYMI, during the show—which marked Gillis’ third time hosting SNL—the 38-year-old appeared in a Dr. Seuss-themed sketch, titled “Green Eggs and Ham,” starring as a man named Zachary, who attempted to stop Sam-I-Am (Andrew Dismukes) from trying to force his dad (Mikey Day) to eat green eggs and ham.

“Hey! What the hell is wrong with you?” Gillis said on the 8H stage. “My dad says he doesn’t like green eggs and ham. Drop it. Walk away.”

After Dismukes’ Sam-I-Am argued that his dad “may like green eggs and ham,” Gillis replied, “Bro, it’s a non-starter.”

“He said he doesn’t f–king—jeez, like ’em!” Gillis added, immediately realizing the fumble. “Whoa, no!”
