Singapore Airlines Wins World’s Best Airline Award for the Sixth Time at Skytrax Ceremony

The prize was awarded during the ceremony in the Langham Hotel in London on Sept18. The prize is received by Singapore Airlines for the sixth time since the award ceremony began. This year, Singapore Airlines beats Qatar Airways to take the first prize. The results of the research are based on the evaluation of more than 24.8 million passengers from more than 100 nationalities and over 300 airlines.

The survey was carried out by Skytrax in the period from September 2025 to August 2026. Thus, the volume of data collected is one of the largest in recent years. Qatar Airways took second place, while Cathay Pacific Airways, ANA All Nippon Airways, and Turkish Airlines took places three to five, respectively.

Singapore Airlines Sweeps Economy Class Honors

In addition to the highest award, Singapore Airlines has received the title of the World’s Best Economy Class and World’s Best Economy Class Onboard Catering. In addition, the carrier has been named Best Airline in Asia.

Singapore Airlines’ economy class has taken first place in the world for the best economy class. Unlike other categories, Singapore’s economy class overtakes other participants in all parameters. At the same time, Singapore Airlines took second place in the categories of cabin attendants and in-flight entertainment and fourth in airport services. Thus, the airline does not have a leading position in any of the categories, which indicates that its victory is due to the high level of service. The passengers were impressed by the quality of services provided by Singapore Airlines ‘ economy class, so according to Skytrax’s analysts, this area plays a crucial role in the airline’s performance.

Qatar Airways Dominates the Business Class Category

Although Qatar Airways has failed to take first place, it has received four awards. First of all, Qatar Airways has received the title of the World’s Best Business Class Airline for the 13th time, which indicates their dominance in this category. In addition, the airline’s Al Mourjan Business Lounge – The Garden has received the title of the World’s Best Business Class Lounge.

In addition, Qatar Airways received the award for the Best Airline in the Middle East. Moreover, Qatar Airways has become the first carrier to receive the honor of the World’s Best Onboard Wi-Fi. By winning this prize, Qatar Airways beat competitors Delta Air Lines and United Airlines. Analysts believe that by introducing this award, Skytrax changed the system in which the award was given. Previously, connectivity was considered a key component of the airline service.

Cathay Pacific and ANA All Nippon Airways Dominate in Service Categories

Cathay Pacific Airways, which took third place among the world’s best airlines, has received the title of the World’s Best Cabin Crew. Singapore Airlines came second in this category, while Malaysia Airlines came third. In addition, Cathay Pacific Airways received the World’s Best First Class Airline Lounge award. ANA All Nippon Airways, for its part, took fourth place among the world’s best airlines.

The company has received the award for providing the World’s Best Airport Services. This category includes such subcategories as check-in, lounges, boarding, transfers, and arrivals at the airline’s base. In addition, Air France received the title of World’s Best First Class Airline, while Emirates received the award for World’s Best Inflight Entertainment.
