‘SNL’ Mocks Trump’s Nobel Peace Prize Snub, Public Execution Plan
Saturday Night Live took aim at President Donald Trump’s frustration over missing out on the Nobel Peace Prize and Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth’s livestream execution plans during its latest episode.
On the October 10 edition of the NBC comedy show, Weekend Update anchors Colin Jost and Michael Che mocked the president after the Nobel Peace Prize was awarded to South African human rights lawyer Navanethem “Navi” Pillay on Friday.
Jost opened the segment by describing Trump’s loss as a “tragic developing story,” before sarcastically suggesting the president was taking the snub in his stride. The joke set the tone for a segment targeting Trump’s repeated desire to receive the prestigious award.
This is a developing story and will be updated.
