Sugar in space? Unique discovery on asteroid provides insight to origin of life




NASA’s OSIRIS-REx mission has revealed that the asteroid Bennu contains the building blocks of life, including sugar and amino acids, suggesting that similar asteroids are common in the solar system and may have contributed to the origins of life on Earth.
