Suspect finally detained in Ohio festival mass shooting that left 12 wounded


Cops investigating a mass shooting at an Ohio music festival on Monday took a teenager into custody for questioning, according to his father.

The unidentified 18-year-old male was brought in regarding Saturday’s shooting at the Old West End Fest in Toledo that injured 12 people, reported WTVG.

Cops were seen executing a search warrant at a home in the city at around 1:30 p.m. Monday, the outlet reported earlier.

Forensics teams were seen erecting a blue tent at the property, where the teenager’s father confirmed that his son lived.

No official charges have yet been announced, and police have not confirmed any details about the search warrant.

Authorities earlier reported that Saturday’s incident started after an altercation between two separate shooters.

Toledo Police Department did not respond to multiple requests for comment.
