The Daniels’ Event Movie At Universal Returns To Release Schedule
The Daniels’ untitled movie is back on the Universal schedule, now set for Friday, Nov. 19, 2027. That’s the Friday before Thanksgiving, which falls on Nov. 25 that year.
The next movie from the multi-Oscar winning Everything Everywhere All at Once duo is shrouded in secrecy. The movie’s release will rep a little more than five years since Everything Everywhere All at Once hit theaters, that A24 title still anomaly at the specialty box office as theaters were fitting their footing roughly a year after their 2021 re-opening from Covid’s closure.
The movie was originally scheduled for June 12, 2026 before being unset. The Daniels’ movie takes the place of a reserved hold that Universal had on Nov. 19, 2027 for an untitled event movie. The pic is scheduled to open before Disney’s Frozen 3 on Nov. 24, 2027.
Daniel Kwan and Daniel Scheinert inked a five-year exclusive deal with Universal back in August 2022.
Everything Everywhere All at Once world premiered like a house on fire at SXSW in the spring of 2022 and went on to gross $77.1M domestic, $142.8M worldwide, becoming the highest grossing A24 theatrical release ever.
Everything Everywhere All at Once won seven Oscars including Best Picture, Best Director for the Daniels, Best Actress for Michelle Yeoh, Supporting Actor for Ke Huy Quan and Supporting Actress for Jamie Lee Curtis.
