Todd Chrisley’s son Kyle Chrisley arrested for domestic assault, public intoxication in Tennessee
Kyle Chrisley, Todd Chrisley’s son and former Chrisley Knows Best star, was arrested in Tennessee Dec. 20 on multiple charges.
TMZ reports Kyle was arrested the evening of Dec. 20 by the Rutherford County Sheriff’s Office and is being charges with domestic assault, public intoxication, disorderly conduct, three charges for assaulting a first responder, and resisting arrest.
Kyle was previously arrested for aggravated assault in 2024. But he and his wife, Ashleigh, sued Rutherford County and two sheriff’s deputies for $1.7 million, claiming he was “punished for calling for help,” according to People.
The lawsuit claims “a disgruntled mechanic, angry over a payment dispute, showed up uninvited, kicked at their doors, threatened violence, and used his car as a weapon by ramming their SUV and nearly running Kyle over in front of multiple neighbors.” Instead of arresting “the man who caused the chaos,” the lawsuit alleges the Rutherford County Sheriff “arrested Kyle Chrisley, and ignored clear evidence that he was the victim, not the aggressor.”
In a statement to People, Kyle’s lawyer Wesley Clark said, “Our hopes for this lawsuit are accountability and change because no family should have to endure what the Chrisley family endured in this terrifying scenario.”

He was also arrested in March 2023 for felony aggravated assault.
Kyle appeared in two episodes of the family’s reality show Chrisley Knows Best in 2014.
His arrest comes just months after Todd and Julie Chrisley were pardoned by President Trump. The pair were convicted and serving time in prison for bank fraud and tax evasion.
The family’s lavish lives were captured in Chrisley Knows Best and Growing Up Chrisley on the USA Network, both of which were canceled after Todd and Julie received their sentences. Todd was sentenced to 12 years in prison while Julie was sentenced to seven years. Julie’s sentencing was later vacated in June 2024 but she was resentenced to seven years in September 2024.
At the time, Trump told their daughter, Savannah Chrisley, that he felt they received “a pretty harsh” sentencing for their crimes.
Todd’s other son, Chase Chrisley, was also identified as the suspect in an assault that took place at the Twin Peaks Sports Bar in Atlanta in January.
