Travis County moves to dismiss cases against former Wilco Sheriff and county attorney

The Travis County District Attorney’s Office has filed a motion to dismiss charges against former Williamson County Sheriff Robert Chody and Assistant Williamson County Attorney Jason Nassour following a prolonged legal battle over evidence in their cases, which stemmed from the 2019 custodial death of Javier Ambler caught on camera by a reality television show, according to a Travis County DA news release on Wednesday.
