Trump Bans CNN, MS NOW, Politico From White House Over Coverage

The President of the United States has banned CNN, MS Now and others from the White House.

Floundering in the polls and in the war with Iran, the notoriously thinned skinned and authoritarian former Apprentice host just posted on his Truth Social: “I am proud to announce that, effective immediately, I am banning Fake News CNN, MSNOW (who recently changed their name from MSNBC due to lack of viewership and credibility!), and Politico (The recipients of an illegal and ridiculous $8 Million Dollar subscription, an All Time Record, directly from the United States Government, under Crooked Joe Biden, in order to keep them “alive.” Seems like corruption to me!), from the White House as a result of their constant “reporting” FAKE NEWS!”

Trump promses there are more bans to come with “other Fake News outlets to follow.”

Though, with the likely exception of friendly Fox News and some other conservative publications, no one seems to know who those other outlets could be. The New York Times? The Washington Post? The Atlantic?

BTW – Typos are Trump’s

CNN’s Kaitlan Collins, a frequent subject of sexist Trump attacks, doesn’t seem to have asked POTUS a question today, so there’s no real indication why this ban is in now place. Also, according to media sources I’ve spoken too, CNN and MS Now journalists remain in the Executive Mansion right now. Some of them are scheduled to attend an Oval Office announcement on drug prices coming today, so perhaps “ban” means something different to Trump than everyone else.

As for CNN and MS Now. The former briefly covered the ban missive on-air this afternoon, while the latter seemed to turn the other cheek — for now.

A full-on ban is something that Trump has not engaged in before in this term or his first time in the White House. That can’t be said for the Pentagon, where ex-Fox host Pete Hegseth took away credentials from a number of journalists and banned all media from the halls of the Defense Department.

Back at the White House, Trump did try to revoke the press credentials of then CNN reporter Jim Acosta in his first term, but lost that first amendment dust-up in court. Since returning to office in 2025, POTUS has taken over the White House Correspondents Association for all practical purposes. He has also repeatedly attempted to keep the Associated Press out of formal events and administration announcements.

Stay tuned.
